Natural Horsemanship Clinics

Driftwood Stables offers Natural Horsemanship Clinics that feature Jeff Griffith - a world recognized trainer from Gallatin Gateway Montana.

You'll train in our new, state-of-the-art facilities. Jeff Griffith provides personalized, hands-on instruction to meet your needs.

Areas of focus can include:

  • Ground Work

  • Round Penning

  • Environmental Work

  • Trail Work

  • Colt Starting

  • Trailer Loading

  • Horsemanship

  • Problem Solving

Our facility includes a 70' x 140' indoor arena, with private viewing and tack rooms, eight pastures, and over 127 acres of trails. Our barn has a hot and cold wash stall and friendly staff to help make you and your horse comfortable.

You'll get to stay in our brand new "yurt" accommodations. These wooden structures provide privacy and comfort and will "round" out your stay at Driftwood Stables. Or, we can provide a list of nearby bed & breakfast / hotel locations.

PROGRAM:

Groundwork Class
9am - 12pm

Jeff’s Groundwork was specifically designed to improve communication between horse and rider, teaching participants to safely solve a multitude of problems from the ground. It is ideal for starting young horses or going back to basics with a horse that is not performing as the owner would like.

Horsemanship Class
1pm - 4pm

Participants will learn to communicate with their horse in a way that the horse can understand - developing a more secure, confident, relaxed and supple horse. The Horsemanship class is open to horses and riders at any level, in any discipline.

Cows
5pm - 7pm

Participants will learn how to work cattle in a safe environment, while refining their horsemanship skills.

Jeff’s simplistic style of teaching makes it easier, safer and more enjoyable to learn. His clinics are open to horses and riders at any level, from any discipline. He has received accolades from a wide variety of equine professions, including those involved in cutting, reining, team roping, calf roping, barrel racing, racing endurance riding, jumping,eventing and dressage.

Cost
$450 a class for all four days.
Includes overnight accommodations for both horse & rider and three gourmet meals per day.

Auditors welcome for $25 a day.

50% deposit is required with your reservation.
